Husband needs to show empathy for wife’s pain

Q: Our daughter is only two weeks old and my wife is ready to quit breastfeeding. This is a source of contention between us. She says her nipples are sore and they have been bleeding. I think she should work through the pain. I’m hoping a column on the topic can convince her to keep breastfeeding.
